Diets: Basic Rules

I have been trying to loose weight for more than a year already. Well, I have succeeded but that is not enough, moreover, the New Year delicious dishes did their best... I have gained some 3 kilogrammes on.
So, it is high time I started my way from nearly the very beginning.
Today there is a huge amount of information about diets, healthy eating and so on. Having examined lots of different sources I came to the conclusion that there are some basic rules.
1. Still water! Plenty of water!
I try to make it a rule to wake up and drink my first glass of water as soon as I come into the kitchen. Besides, I drink a glass 30 minutes before and after each meal. Water does help! It activates metabolism and washes toxins out. It is known that a person should drink as much as 2 litres of water per day.
2. Small but frequent portions!
I try to eat at least 4 times a day: first breakfast, second breakfast, lunch and supper. The ration varies each day but I always use a saucer (not a plate) so that to avoid overeating.
3. Plan what you eat beforehand and stick to your plan.

Many dietologists insist that it is important to write a diary putting down everything you are going to eat, calculating food energy, everything you have eaten (each eaten item should be included), emphasising the reasons why you ate this or that. I for one find this very time-consuming. I just try to plan today what I am eating tomorrow.
4. 20 and 30...
Guess what they mean? 20 minutes to finish the meal and 30 chewings for each bite. Besides it is better to think about what you are eating but not about your problems or a film... When eating avoid watching TV or reading something cause you won`t be able to concentrate on food and are at risk of eating more than you need. Eat slowly enjoying every piece of food you put into your mouth. Being a mom of a toddler I must admit that 20 minutes spent on 4-5 meals every day are impossible though, but as soon as I have enough time I will try.
4. Kip fit!
Dance, swim, run, do an outdoor sport... Do anything you like. These activities can be of a great fun and what is more they reduce hunger and cheer you up. I just adore dancing, so I have got an interesting DVD collection of belly-dancing and strip-dancing. I feel much better when I dance at least two or three times a week.
5. Stay beautiful!
Hair, nails, make-up... look into the mirror! Aren`t you beautiful? Yes, you are! Be that every day and things will change for the better!
6. Stay positive!
There are no problems in your life, there are situations. It`s a beautiful life!!! It really is! Do not stick to the negative moments, focus on the happy ones. Try to avoid those who tend to upset you all the time and communicate with joyful and optimistic people.
The last rule is the most important for me since as soon as I make myself turn positive, my life becomes colourful and I do realise how happy I am being a Wife, a Mom, just a Woman!!!
That is it, I have refreshed all that in my memory and am ready to change physically as well as emotionally for the better. Wish me good luck and join me)))
